Cake Decorating Ideas For Girls

Science Theme Birthday Party – need a FABULOUS cake idea!?

I am hosting a science themed birthday party for a huge group of 8 year old kids (boys and girls) and need a great idea – with a picture / link would be sooo helpful. I am not a novice when it comes to Cake Decorating, so all levels of difficulty could be managed. Also, I plan to have a couple dozen cupcakes that I would like to incorporate into the theme as well.
I would like to make somewhat of a mad scientists lab – has anyone seen something like this online? I have been searching to no avail…
Thank you!

Well to start with this is a good site to look at

Eyeball sugar cookies or cupcakes. You could use gummy eyeballs you find in the store as the colored part of the eye over a white frosted Cupcake and add some red food coloring on top so it will spread across the frosting like blood. Also, with the use of Fondant you can shape it into almost anything; you could roll it into long tubes for the rolls on a brain, flatten it out for a colorful coating over the Cakes, and cupcakes, and even create a strange mad scientist to pop out from the cake’s frosting. Here’s a link to find out more about fondant

Hope this party goes well and I hope this helps as well.
